FE Pertro Mechanical Leak Detector for Diesel and Kerosene Blends
FE Petro Mechanical Leak Detector for Diesel and Kerosene SKU: STP-MLD-D Price: $569.00

  • Piston design offers the maximum flow rate possible by deeping flow restriction through the leak detector at a minimum. Piston has a full 1 5/8" of travel to move the leak detedtion poppet fully out of the flow path when product is being pumped.
  • Piston cylinder has 5.75 cubic inches (94.2cc) of volume to help minimize nuisance tripping due to thermal contraction. This also reduces the number of daily line tests during thermal contraction periods and thereby extends the life of the leak detector.
  • Burnished Brass Cylinder Liner has an 8 to 24 micron finish. The piston rod is polished stainless steel. Both are designed to minimize friction by providing an extremely smooth surface to reduce wear or the Teflon seals.
  • Merering Pin is constructed of 416 stainless steel to minimize wear of the critical 3 GPH leak rate orifice.
  • 3rd party certified to comply with US EPA requirements 280.41(B) and 280.44(A) for continous monitoring of pressurized piping.
  • Capable of detection 3 GPH line leaks at 10PSI
  • Once in the open position MLD remains open during product delivery to pressures as low as 1 psi. Therefore, the MLD will never close when sevral nozzles are open at the same time.
  • 3rd Party certified to comply with US EPA requirements 280.41(B) and 280.44(A) for continous monitoring of pressurized piping.
  • UL listed for installation in all 4" FE Petero Pumps and most competitive makes.
  • Compatible with all blends of motor fuels including alcohol blends from 0 to 100% ethanol of Methanol, 20% MTBE or ETBE with 80% gasoline, or 17% TAME with 83% gasoline as well as diesel fuels.
  • MLD signals a line leak by allowing less thatn 3 GPM (11.4 LPM) restricted flow rate, at leak sixes of 3 GPH or greater. Leaks of less than 3 GPH are indicated by the leak detector taking longer thatn 2 to 3 seconds to open.
  • Time required to make a line test is 2 to 3 seconds when no line leaks exist and air is puged from piping
  • Maximum static head on MLD is 12 feet (3.35m) from tank to dispensing point.
  • Minimum height requirement from 2" NPT port to manhole cover for clearance is 9" (22.9 cm).
